When foreign historian Alexander visits Istanbul in 2013 to research Ottoman-era love letters found in a Taksim library archive, he unexpectedly finds himself caught in the Gezi Park protests. There, he meets Asya, an activist and descendant of the letter's author. Drawn together by history and the charged atmosphere of the protests, they unravel a centuries-old forbidden love story that mirrors their own burgeoning romance. As the city erupts in turmoil, Alexander and Asya must decide if their love can bridge their cultural and ideological divides.
