  • In what enchanted place do Gordon and Nick meet a giant ten feet tall?

  • Where do Grace and Miranda find a secret passageway that leads to the sea and a boat that knows the way?

  • What devilish creature lurks in the dark on the Bridge of Leaps?

  • How do The Miraculous Seven become The Eight Team?

  • What invincible weapons were hidden by the Gods Nuada and Lugh in an underground cavern? Can Gordon and Nick use them to rid the world of tyrants?

  • What terrible quest do Grace and Zoë undertake to snatch a tortured soul from the evil clutches of The Morrigan?

  • What is Zoë doing in a twenty-year-old body, and what has that to do with Zack?

  • What awesome birthday present does Myrddin give Gordon in Avalon? What does he have to do to prove he is worthy of it?

  • What is Groc the Knocker's connection to the Royal Irish Fairy Defence League, and what is a disorganised collection of Cluricaunes, Leprechauns and fire-breathing Pookas doing on a hill at Loughcrew?

As their powers grow, our intrepid fourteen-year olds have to deal with Gods both good and evil as well as giants, a whole variety of fairies and some very dangerous wizards and witches. The forces ranged against them are formidable. They have to combat wickedness at every turn, and must learn quickly if they are to survive long enough eventually to make the world a better place.

The story twists and turns and insists you keep your wits about you. Often (I hope) it will make you smile; but sometimes, in places, much like the world we all live in today, I must confess it makes me cry.
