And a CDC doctor with them has created a promising cure for the virus and tested it on the man Kimberly has begun to fall for, who promptly shows strange and concerning side effects.
When Woodside is besieged by the infected, Kimberly smuggles the potential cure out of their safe haven before the infected can get in, intending to search for a still-operational CDC facility with only Ethan Bennett to guide and protect her.
