In Time and Songs of the River Men, Chinaka philosophises existence with an almost unflinching enthusiasm that transcends wandering, for although he describes himself as a "wanderer," it's obvious that the wealth of experience and philosophical insights engrafted in the poems surpass wandering, especially the metaphysical poems about 'life,' 'death,' and 'time'-the very essence of being. Chinaka puts on the gift of garb of an existentialist here.
