Odin and Thor are missing, and Loki has seized Asgard's throne. Valkyrie, commanding Valhalla's host, is the only one who can challenge him. Ullr, the hunting god, tracks Valkyrie but is pursued by Fenrir and a demon host. Meanwhile, Emma Sommet, the 10th Muse, visits Suzanne Bancroft at a hospital for a legal case. Ullr arrives wounded, begging Suzanne for help. She hesitates, bitter over Valhalla's manipulations, when demons attack. Emma and Valkyrie fight, while Suzanne and the staff risk their lives to aid the injured. Inspired, Valkyrie reflects on duty and joins Ullr, resolving to defend Asgard.
