Human history is filled with all kinds of terrible conflicts and wars.
But, it is also full of great human intellectual achievements, fantastic improvements, incredible inventions, monumental architecture, inspired artistry, amazing science and technology, and heartwarming kindness.
Indeed, humans are capable of doing many evil things when selfishness and greed get the better of them, but humans are also very good in making beautiful things and building incredibly beneficial and heartwarming relationships when they follow their humanistic instinct.
The contradiction between humankind's abject failures and stunning achievements are very real indeed.
The question is: how can we do better to curb vicious conflicts and advance human welfare for a better future for all humanity?
