2010年之后当代艺术史的书写方式注定是多元的，一边在探索"跨界性"与"场域性"，另一方面将艺术引向公众，诠释它的"参与性"与"公共性"。在新时代艺术史书写中，中国艺术史的书写应该回归本土，体现民族特性，在多元的基础上转向公众的视觉审美逻辑，以公众审美之力作为艺术书写的共识评判法则。
