Nova Pendragon follows orders. He is a good son, ninth in line to the throne in Avalon. His allegiance is thrown into question when a mission leads to Tel, his chosen mate being used a scapegoat and put out of his reach. Tel finds himself locked away in a 'prison' on another world with a collection of paranormal beings who are kept in reserve to deal with threats to the security of the Consortium. As Tel makes a life for himself he finds out things about himself which might explain why is held where he is.
