The year is 2005. When an office worker out for his lunchtime burrito gets stabbed in the neck with a pen, he sits down to tell his horror story online. But is it a horror story? Mayhaps, and a comic misadventure, science fiction allegory, road trip northeast and southbound flight to a tropical jungle, a sidewalk travelogue of Los Angeles from a misfit's gaze, a surreal quest to find a mad doctor and a bureaucratic puzzle. And did we mention the experimental nanotechnology? That's probably the most important part, thanks to the mysterious physician we may never meet again and who, for all we know, never existed in the first place. For, some 100 blog posts later, the question remains: Where is Melmanzian?
