Just back from a mision to Mexico, Toombs Sullivan's life takes a turn. That turn will be to the west of Texas where he is assigned to El Paso. Back in Austin for a brief visit, his life takes another dramatic turn.
What he finds in El Paso is so much like what he has faced all during his time as a Texas Ranger. But the enemy will prove to be perhaps the worst he has ever gone after.
