Crush is set in the future and is the first short story in the author's "universe" The Realm: Other World Series. The Realm is a future universe with adventure series that will build on the author's previous universes; Future Chron, Forgotten Earth, and Manifold Earth by using the science, technology, and sometimes, characters, of those universes.
