The most critical thing about stoma care services is the patient's post-procedure and management once they leave or are discharged from the hospital.
This book may serve as a guide for health workers, caregivers, nursing students, nursing professionals, and medical professionals to understand stoma holistically.
The book explores issues that affect patients before the operation, during the operation, and immediately after the operation and how all health workers are involved in the treatment and management of stoma care patients.
The book tackles technical issues relating to stoma, medical background, clinical procedures and nursing management of stoma operations, and psychosocial elements on how patients respond to the operation. We have noticed that stoma operation is one of the most critical operations that can affect patients' health. Still, various health workers can assist the patients to restore their health while living with temporary or permanent stoma.
Children with a stoma and their treatment, and social and psychosocial issues that affect them and their careers or parents are some of the problems that health workers will learn to assist patients daily.
