A homecoming dinner was in the works for Jamie after serving overseas in Afghaniston in the U.S. Army. As family and friends were due to arrive a few hours before the guest of honor, a knock on the door changed their world forever.

Finding out Jamie is missing in Afghanistan changed his family's plans for the future. His Mother Denise, Father Jim, and younger sister Violet spent their days pacing around the house waiting for any updates on finding Jamie. Denise and Jim realized this is not what Jamie would want for his family. Life needs to go on no matter what the circumstances are, they encouraged their daughter to go live her Dream. Violet had come home from living in Nashville trying to make it in country music. When that didn't happen, and money ran out she returned to her home in New Hampshire. Now that Jamie was gone her parents encouraged her to go back and try again. They know his son would want it that way. With much hesitation Violet agreed. Denise and Violet packed for Nashville and headed to tryouts for Nashville Magic. This was a reality show for the best country music star, and the winner will receive a contract with a large country music record label.

After making it in the first round Denise returns home to wait for news about Jamie, and Violet tries again for a go in Nashville. A sudden twist brings Violet into a romantic encounter with a famous country music star. That fairy tail is jeopardized by a jealous ex-girlfriend. All of a sudden what seemed to be a dream come true is starting to turn into a real life nightmare! This makes Violet question what her real destiny is.
