《且介亭杂文》（"且介"两字源于"租界"，因为有一段时间，鲁迅先生住在上海闸北帝国主义越界筑路的区域，这个地区有"半租界"之称。鲁迅先生有很强烈的民族自尊心，对帝国主义十分憎恨，因此将"租界"二字各取一半，成"且介"，以表憎恨。）
1935年，鲁迅居住在上海闸北四川路帝国主义越界筑路区域,即"半租界"收集1934年所作杂文，命名为《且介亭杂文》，"且介"即取"租界"二字各一半而成，意喻中国的主权只剩下一半。后又有《且介亭二编》《且介亭末编》。
