This essay sheds light on what are ultra-processed foods, reveals the dangers of consuming ultra-processed foods, demystifies the health effects of consuming ultra-processed foods, and delineates the health optimization measures to implement for improving your health. Succinctly stated, ultra-processed foods are deemed to be highly-processed foods. Ultra-processed foods are also deemed to be synthetic foods that are comprised of a myriad of deleterious ingredients. Examples of noxious substances that ultra-processed foods are comprised of encompass "hydrolyzed proteins, modified starches, hydrogenated oils, colorants, flavorings, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and bulking agents". Ultra-processed foods contain a host of inimical ingredients that are artificial ingredients. Ultra-processed foods are not harvested on arable land. Furthermore, ultra-processed foods are also not cultivated on fruit-bearing trees. Ultra-processed foods are man-made foods that are not found in nature. Ultra-processed foods are churned out in a food processing plant. Deleterious ingredients are amalgamated together at a food processing plant as part of the food processing process in the production of ultra-processed foods. Ultra-processed foods contain far more ingredients than minimally processed foods. Ultra-processed foods are also deemed to be insalubrious foods as a corollary of them being comprised of a cornucopia of noxious ingredients. In stark contrast to foods that are subsumed under the longevity-promoting, salubrious, wholesome, heart-healthy, brain-healthy, kidney-healthy, thyroid gland-healthy, anticancer, antidiabetic, nutrient-dense, alkaline, antioxidant-rich, anti-glycation, anti-inflammatory, raw fruitarian diet that have a short shelf life, ultra-processed foods have a long shelf life. Certain ultra-processed foods can last for months before they reach their food expiration date.
