A spellbinding journey through time and cultures

Annie Thornton, an English midwife and apprentice witch, her telepathic cat, Rosamund, and her witchy Aunt Meg, travel to 17th-century London to see William Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Overcrowded London is bursting at the seams with the privileged, the poor and the rogues. A bag of silver brought by the travellers to purchase food and lodgings becomes a sought-after prize by criminal gangs who will stop at nothing to achieve their goal.

In constant danger, Annie and Meg must create ingenious scenarios with the help of a famous playwright and a little magic to bring the London gangs to justice.
