Synopsis: Book of Sty II, "Kronikuls of Styopos J. Buck," is dedicated to the author's dear mother, Carrie Lee Helaire-Davis, and runs the gamut from early experiences of childhood to personal trials and tribulations of the author. Scars left from blades of racism and poverty take center stage in many of the "Kronikuls" and embellish the truth that the blows of man are not always kind.
Autobiography: Andrew Davis, Jr. is the third of eight siblings born to the parents Andrew Davis, Sr. and Carrie Helaire-Davis, southern sharecroppers. Plantation life bred in him the value of hard work and the need for Christian values. His career was that of a high school physical education instructor/coach, upon receiving a B.S. degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, and an M.A. from Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn. Social interests were invested in memberships/ service with Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Knights of Peter Claver, Knights of Columbus, and tours with First Tee of America and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His inspiration to get into the literary field stems from the untimely deaths of two beloved siblings. Wrap those around constant battles with fears of epilepsy, you get wanderings into fields of metaphors, imagination, which radicalize themselves in "Kronikuls of Styopos J. Buck."
