Clyde Pigg agrees to rendezvous with Draeyger Woolfe in Hong Kong, the purported location of the man truly responsible for the false imprisonment of Clyde's brothers, and returns to his airship along with Sarina Chase. The woman he rescued has yet to name a home she wishes to be returned to, however, and opts to join him instead.
Before they can set a course, Clyde needs to find an electrical storm and harvest lightning to recharge his ship's batteries. A dangerous proposition as it is, given the hydrogen filling the ship's gas bags, the storm they enter becomes a tropical cyclone.
