Meet Cardinal Wolf, a young man trying to find meaning in a world through newfound powerful vision. Cardinal Wolf endures a traumatic event that grants him the power to see what others fail to. This power grants him the ability to see invisible, dapper dressed, androgenous, and faceless creatures he relates to as Suits. These Suits find refuge in their home the Heart of Man where they submit to the authority of their leader, while domineering their rivals, Virtues which Cardinal relates to as Hoodies. Walk through life with Cardinal as he wrestles with understanding the power he was gifted with, the purpose of the Suits and Hoodies, and preparing for the perplexing paradigm shift in the world.

I am Cardinal Wolf is an amazing read! The worlds created in this story are so vivid and yet so full of insightful nuggets of what it's like to grow up in the world after a traumatic event like (but not limited to) sexual abuse. I truly believe this book can help the process of healing for not only those that have sadly gone through this as children, but also ones who have experienced all the pain of being taken advantage of at any point in life. Through the characters in the story, the author accurately describes the different stages of processing trauma. I truly enjoyed how the struggles of trauma were personified into beings with thoughts, plans, and most importantly in my opinion; weaknesses that can be overcome. The real fight with trauma is completely internal, so giving "the opponents" qualities we can all see was genius in my opinion. That's very encouraging to me for the struggles in my life that I'm currently trying to overcome. It's FULL of fruit the entire way through. Reading two chapters back to back is so filling you may have to take a step back to fully digest what you're chewing on! It is a definite must read!
