One day when the gambler was dozing off, he looked at the picture of the reaper. The man thought he was going mad. He thought he saw the hand of the reaper move. He told himself he was imagining it. Walking over to the picture, the man examined the reaper. It was not moving. He felt calmer. He thought it was his tiredness that was making him see things.

He curled up on his couch to sleep. Before he slept, he opened his eyes one last time. He saw the reaper step out of the picture.

The man woke up in terror. The reaper was still out of the picture.
