Two brothers get new wooden horses. The joy and fun is unlimited as they pretend and play, but when one of them breaks his horse he is so sad. Nathan comes to the rescue and lets Grant ride his horse with him so the joy can continue. When they grow up the two brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the civil war. Brotherly love and friendship is brought to a breaking point due to political differences.
