Detective Lark Foster, nicknamed "The Cobra", is an up-and-comer in the local police force. Aaron Barnes, a "damaged" ex-cop, is her lover. With the support of Lark's superior and godfather, Captain Seamus O'Reilly, they pursue the odd and paranormal monsters that all can see but only Aaron knows how to defeat.
This free short story is a sample of the adventures the two extraordinary people face together. A full length novel of how these two met, came together and began to fight both natural and supernatural crime is coming in December 2013.
