Three Nights in Hell and Other Scary Stories... is the second collection of short stories by W.L. Peterson. The six stories collected here range from supernatural horror to psychological horror. Where Fear and Laughter by W.L. Peterson was a mixture of horror with comedy, Three Nights in Hell and Other Scary Stories... goes straight for the jugular and never lets up.

In "The Legend of Crybaby Bridge", five college students are trying to figure out what to do for halloween. They heard about the local urban legend of Crybaby Bridge and decide to do the dare for halloween. While most of the people in the group are excited, the local girl Linda, tries to convince them not to go through with it. However, they don't heed her warning.

In the supernatural horror "Three Nights in Hell", Justin Johnson just graduated high school and need money to go to college and put his family in a better financial position. He decides to enter a game show called Three Nights in Hell. The three contestants must spend three nights in one of the most haunted places in America, the Hampton Plantation. The winner or winners receives a five-million-dollar cash price. But someone is watching the contestants, and each night brings new terrors.

In "Mirror", Stephen Sanders just left his girlfriend's college and is trying to get home before curfew. Unfortunately, his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. That's when Stephen discovers he is not out there alone.

"Obake" is set in a time when the Japanese first came to the west coast and built their settlement. Kenji is a small, orphaned, Japanese boy who is left to take care of himself. He decides to steal food from a couple of brothers but the theft comes with consequences.

In "Mr. Albert's Room", Mr. Albert Sullivan just checked into Glory Day's retirement home. Albert was born with a gift to communicate with the dead. However, that gift has been a curse for most of Alberts life. He just wants to spend his final years in peace, but the ghost of the last tenant that stayed in his room was murdered. He will not let Albert rest until Albert helps him figure out who murdered him.

In the thriller, "The Carpet in the Median", Paul Ellis is a single father that has dedicated his life to raising his daughter Sandy. When Sandy's mother, Linda, comes back into her life, things are never the same for Paul again.
