The Flame of Mechling is the continuing story of Ranon and his friend, Scootie. Dream interpretation is something not many people think may be important. Ranon certainly didn't. He was unaware that he had been sleepwalking and having violent nightmares.
Using an elixir that the Mystic had made, Ranon was able to remember parts of his dreams that involved his father and a sword. The Mystic made it clear that Ranon must return to his home on the plain to locate the sword.
The Flame of Mechling is just one of many items that must be located to break the cycle of the dragon. If the prophecy is to be fulfilled and the sequence is finally obliterated, every item and chosen one must be used to fulfill the prophecy once and for all.
