1980年9月8日，一艘相当于"泰坦尼克号"两倍大的巨型油轮"德拜夏尔号"装载着15万吨铁矿石，航行到了距离日本冲绳海岸200海里的地方。在这片海域，油轮被海底神秘力量袭击，整艘船被折成两截后沉入了海底。让"德拜夏尔号"沉没的这片海域，就是日本龙三角。
