I read a book on quantum physics for laymen that declared, "Quantum physics can be comprehended by everyone, but explained by no one." The book states that physicists insist that their equations are most certainly correct, but they have no idea what they tell us about reality. The authors go on to state that a layman's explanation of quantum mechanics is as valid as a physicist's. I took that as a challenge. So here it is, a layman's explanation of what quantum equations tell us about reality. Realistically, my explanation is no more accurate than Luminiferous Aether filled with strawmen rolling dice, floating through waves of possibility, and spookily entangled. I only hope a young Michaelson or Morley will accept this explanation as a challenge and offer a better explanation.
