My wacky friends, Helen and Rita, are at it again. Going against my director's orders at the DEA to lie low, I let them talk me into another crazy adventure. I never imagined I'd spend Independence Day putting my life in danger by rafting the Colorado River. After all, I'm supposed to be hiding in Shotgun, Colorado from a drug lord who wants me dead. Not dodging lightning bolts.

Then there is the matter of yet another dead body. What a way to celebrate. Does this town ever rest? And this time, we have to convince the sheriff that his mom, the town meddler, had nothing to do with the murder.

Maybe I'll turn up the charm and sweet talk the handsome town doctor into giving me the details of the autopsy. I hear tons of gossip while working at my cover job as a Home Health Physical Therapist, but talking to a hot doctor is more fun. My boss was pretty smart assigning me here.

My new friends and I have to stay one step ahead of the local gossip chain or risk having our investigation shut down by the charming sheriff.

Not to mention, if my boss at the DEA found out two of the drug cartel's goons were in town, he'd yank me out of Shotgun faster than I could teach a local to pronounce the word mountain right.

Dead bodies seem to be this town's specialty. If I don't solve this mystery soon, this game of hide and seek will end up with me being one of them.
