On Holston mountain was a valley that stretched some ten miles long, and just over two miles wide. A beautiful place. That's what some of the first settlers said when they arrived there in late 1860. They named their settlement Cold Creek. After three short years, the strongest of the settlers who survived the Indian attacks, and raiders, and severe winters, along with periods of starvation, all voted to make the settlement of Cold Creek into a town. The town never grew bigger than 300 people, but it was a good place to live. This was until 1881. Strange things began to happen and people started disappearing, some of them turning up dead. The town was in the grip of evil, and before they could pack up and leave, they were struck down by a plague, and an unusually large and vicious pack of wolves roamed the woods outside of town and would kill anyone who tried to leave. Cold Creek was under the spell of a powerful and angry witch.
