Triple Jeopardy is a collection of three novellas featuring Rex Stout's famous detective, Nero Wolfe, and his witty assistant, Archie Goodwin. As always, Wolfe uses his sharp intellect to solve complex mysteries, while rarely leaving the comfort of his luxurious brownstone. In "Home to Roost," Wolfe must untangle the mystery of a young man's death, initially thought to be due to political motives. Archie's charm and Wolfe's keen deduction reveal the surprising truth behind the killing. "The Cop-Killer" thrusts Wolfe into a case involving two immigrant barbers accused of murder. As Wolfe navigates through layers of deception, he demonstrates his remarkable ability to cut through lies and uncover the real culprit. In the third novella, "The Squirt and the Monkey," Wolfe is called upon to investigate the theft of an artist's property, only to be faced with a baffling murder. With Archie's help, Wolfe manages to piece together the clues and solve the crime. Stout's trademark humor, clever plotting, and engaging characters make Triple Jeopardy an excellent addition to the Nero Wolfe series. The stories are filled with intrigue, wit, and a satisfying resolution for mystery lovers.
