The Senate of Solarna has declared Dr. Freedlander as an unethical scientist, banning him from the Solarna Gestational Biolabs. But that doesn't stop him from continuing Project Nexus with private funds from a bioengineering company.

Project Nexus was created to produce super soldiers for the Solarnan army until they fell out with Dr. Freedlander. Six new super soldiers, bioengineered to be faster, smarter, stronger, loyal, and unquestioningly obedient.

Then, someone hacks the mainframe, and now the whole project is on a razor's edge, teetering between destruction and redemption.

Now, the six hybrid natae Jeb and Levi- 14, Kee-12, Lin- 11, and twin boys Kit and Kip- 7, who are trained survivalist soldiers, are beginning to change; they are developing a conscious a self-awareness. Something they were never meant to have, and now they have questions.
