Saving the Sleeping Kingdom continues to have far-reaching consequences. Breaking the spell also tore through the borders of an adjacent otherworld, where all kinds of demons, monsters, and other unsavory beings were exiled.
In taking advantage of those tears to return home, the Crooked Man accidentally left his wife behind and is uniquely unable to find her again or give Olivia more than riddles to find her on his behalf.
And for every day Olivia fails to bring him and his wife back together, the Crooked Man swears to fracture Olivia's reality like bones, snapping something away from her each time that she can't afford to lose.
