Bear's gun gleamed in the sunlight, hot after being fired so many times. The street was littered with dead and dying men, groaning and gasping their last breath of air, before meeting the Great Mystery.
Smoke filled the still morning air and Bear waited for the law to show up. It was always this way.
"What's going on here?" shouted a voice.
"Did that damned Injun do it again?"
It was town Marshal Joseph Todd that stood before Bear, a shotgun pointed at his head.
