Sam Sterk, P.h.D, CMPC developed the character of Hannah because he's a relationship and trauma expert, having counseled individuals, couples and families. He has found that unfulfilled relationships have a lot to do with past traumas. His professional credentials include having a master's degree in clinical social work, earning a Ph.D. in Psychology and completing advanced post graduate training in Psychoanalysis.
