Commissioned by the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and first produced at the Belvoir Street Theatre (Downstairs), Sydney, in 1990, Blood And Honour tells the story of a mother, her son and his lover facing the threat of the AIDS epidemic, moral panic and the possibility of a conservative win at the coming Federal election. Blood and Honour was the recipient of the 1990 Human Rights Award for Drama, presented by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission.
