Richard Chase was a known American serial killer who terrorized California for a month. Between 1977 and 1978, Chase embarked on a killing spree that left six people dead, and a town gripped with fear. His gruesome modus operandi, which included consuming his victims' blood and internal organs, won him the chilling moniker "The Vampire of Sacramento." Chase's actions were driven by a warped delusion that he needed to ingest his victims' bodily fluids to prevent a supposed Nazi plan to turn his own blood into powder through poison hidden beneath his soap dish. This twisted belief drove his horrific crimes, which sent shockwaves through the community.
