When Private Investigator, Sonoma (Sonny) Whittington regains consciousness in the middle of a cold, wet night, she finds herself on an abandoned mine site and sporting a severe head wound. She has lost her watch, her phone, and one sneaker. But that's not all she has lost. She spends time in hospital in an induced coma before being released under strict conditions to try to put her life back together again.
