When Ciqaab, a radical group funded from around the world, plans an attack in Paris, Wytze Moolman and Bakary Dje, two soldiers from different generations, hemispheres and cultures are thrown together by circumstances. Forced to cooperate with one another, the two strangers instinctively form an efficient team and foil the Ciqaab-attack.

Captain Bakary Dje is French special forces-trained and serves as a staff officer in the Foreign Legion. Wytze Moolman was a senior officer in the South African Army but has since established a successful consulting firm in partnership with his sons. Wayne and Matt Moolman are a computer engineer and an accountant with a natural hate for bullies, and the abilities needed to deal with them. Dje agrees to join the family business and 3G Research and Advisory is born. From their base in Utrecht in the Netherlands the daring 3G team members encounter organised crime in Japan, gangsterism and human trafficking in France, cybercrime in the UK and industrial espionage in Italy. They recruit Chiyo, Wytze's brilliant protégé and three others to join 3G in the continued hunt for Ciqaab throughout Europe.

Despite French authorities and Interpol questioning the bona fides and the legality of the ingenious methods employed by 3G, the group continues to investigate and pursue leads in ways that law enforcement agencies may not be able to resort to. Janell, a French stuntwoman and actress with a terrible temper, and Astrid, a worldly traveller are recruited whilst Hari, a Bristol-born cybercriminal, is compelled to work for 3G as events steer toward a decisive confrontation with Ciqaab in Amsterdam.
