Black Lion, a private paramilitary organization, regularly conducts missions on behalf of the CIA and other organizations when their exceptional capability and stealth is required. They engage in a world that is seldom black and white, and when an intensely blurry and sensitive mission is disclosed in early 1993, they answer the call.
An extremely valuable double agent in Russia has contacted the CIA with disturbing reports. A renegade sect of officers in the GRU and former KGB have gone rogue and are beginning to plan and conduct sinister missions to inflict terror upon America and her allies. One particularly evil plot, to free the most violent and sadistic serial killers within Russian prisons and smuggle them into the U.S. has been uncovered.
With the recent collapse of the Soviet Union, the CIA has placed the highest value on their asset within the Kremlin. Chaos is currently the rule in Russia, and this report is testament to the evil that can brew in such an environment. To protect the CIA source, the Russians must not discover that this plot has been uncovered, so a covert mission with one outcome is proposed. More importantly to Black Lion, innocent Americans are potential victims, so they immediately agree to find and eliminate a monster.
Two Black Lion agents, both former cops, are chosen and immediately sign up for a mission that will take them down their darkest path.
