three small children tortured and abused by an uncle escape their tormentor and learn to survive trusting no one they find refuge in an abandon cabin and as years pass they hunt fish salvage from the farm their uncle burned down believing them to be in it and rumors of ghosts and three children abound eventually they are found by the cabins owners and find the world is not all bad they grow profit and survive by themselves and pass on a legacy of love togetherness and survival with their companions the wolves they befriended who protect them their long blond flowing hair against pale skin and winter winds that blow give them a ghostly appearance that spread rumors about town and makes them a profit and keeps their land free of intruders
