In the intricate web of love and deceit, a pearl robe is the token that binds. Lian Hua, a young woman of the Northern Song Dynasty, thought she had found happiness with Wei Ming, but little did she know that their marriage would unravel in a tangled mess. While Lian Hua is away on a lengthy business trip, Wei Ming falls into the clutches of a cunning matchmaker who introduces him to the enchanting Tao Ye.
