I shall tell you what I know: the two halves of the crown were forged by the God Belhagard himself, in times beyond memory. He forged both the half-circles in the vilest, worthless iron one could find. Nonetheless, he put a spell on them: when the crown, after being welded, was worn by the person meant to do so, the iron would turn into the shiniest gold. Thus the King of the World shall be known: he shall be the one turning the crown into gold. Until then, the world shall belong to Belhagard.
