A short story chock full of ironic life lessons. Please do not reveal the last line of this story, so that other readers may experience in full the same epiphanies as you. This story is not recommended for anyone under thirteen years of age. Inspired both by an Ernest Hemingway short story and by an actual interview from the actor Jeff Daniels (anchor on Aaron Sorkin's 'The Newsroom'): "...you had to be fearless. You had to be OK with failing miserably...the trick was to jump off the cliff and start flapping your arms as hard as you could, and hoping you flew a little bit. When that would work, when you jump off that cliff and just go and hope to hell...it was thrilling."
This book would be a good gift for anyone you know who is facing a precipitous decision. It now includes as a two-for-one bonus feature "The Rock That Was Afraid To Swim, Part Two". After finishing "Rock" please pause and reflect at least a few hours before continuing to Part Two. Thank you.
