When we talk about decent work, we mean that all people have a decent job, in which fundamental rights are respected without discrimination of any kind and that generates an income that is fair in relation to the effort made. Decent work is the way out of poverty, since many people are unemployed and many others, even if they have a job, do not receive a sufficient enough salary to cover their basic needs and therefore struggle to have a decent life. For this reason, the United Nations considers access to decent work and economic growth as one of its Sustainable Development Goals.
