Stanley Greenwich is nothing more than a regular man occupying a regular apartment in the avant-garde megapolis of uber-capitalist Central Nysmaw, maintaining a regular job and a regular routine way of life. However, as these sorts of things usually go, he realizes his life may not be so regular after stumbling into a coffee shop in the slums. There, he meets the mysterious and oddly charming Leif Anders, who recruits Stanley and his encyclopedic knowledge of Nysmavian technology to help him and his posse construct a Supercomputer, capable of unearthing the corruption of their central government and uprooting the system once and for all.

As time goes on, Stanley kindles a close friendship with Leif, something that later turns into an infatuation frowned upon by the wholesome values of Nysmaw. And the closer they become, the tenser the city grows. Soon enough, the dreaded Lusus Hunter Syndicate is rubbing elbows with the government and murdering supposed rebel spies on the streets. He soon finds his relationship and his identity threatened by the very city he called home. It becomes up to Stanley to decide what he's willing to stand for and all that he is willing to fall for.
