A teenage girl from the Basque Country, Spain tries to find herself among constant changes in her life. Her parents send her to Wales, United Kingdom, for the summer to study at a boarding school as they cope with family issues. There she learns to socialise and discovers a mystery about the school's history. On returning home, she faces a family crisis and meets new friends who have a negative influence on her. Later on, she discovers family secrets and travels to South America to find the answers. It's a coming of age story. It deals with the following topics.
