When running from her past leads her into the arms of her future, will she embrace it or keep running?

Needing to get away after a difficult year, Kim Lock quits her teaching position and hits the road, deciding to let fate lead her to where she needs to go. A chance encounter with a kind stranger sends her to a cottage in the woods where she hopes to figure out her next move. First, she has to pick her bedroom—not the one that is too big, not the one that is too small, she chooses the one that is just right. Though she soon discovers she's in the wrong cottage!

Barrett Keller—the "baby" of the family—returns home to discover that someone is sleeping in his bed. She's got golden locks and smells sweeter than honey, but he can tell she's had a troubled past, so he holds back his animal urges. Luckily, his work as a builder means he knows about being patient. It also means he's good with his hands, and he uses his strength to provide a refuge for Kim.

When one night's stay turns into weeks of sanctuary, Barrett and Kim grow closer. Kim slowly learns to let her guard down, but you can't outrun your past and eventually she has a choice to make: Let go of the memories, or leave the cottage and never return.
