Delving deep into the bowels of Atlantean earth, Kull's royal retinue of Conan of Cimmeria, Brule the Spear-Slayer, and the elite Red Slayer guards followed their king in search of a mysterious evil. Prying open ornate doors wrought from ages untold, they were set upon by a murderous, subterranean horde who slew many of the king's guards. Undeterred, Kull led the remaining party ever deeper, coming at last to an ancient burial chamber and a black stone sarcophagus bearing the mark of a malevolent eye. Brule warned his king against folly, but Kull's obsessive madness set him on a doomed course, flinging open the coffin to reveal an ancient Atlantean blade... and more as well.
