Veteran parent, and actual veteran, Richard J. Fitts' debut book is a call to action for parents of today's troubled Black male youth.

While facing a judge in custody court, Richard Fitts had a plan to get him back on the right track. But looking around, he saw children living in anarchy with parents who were ill-equipped to handle them. Who would set them back on the straight and narrow? In Salvaging America's Black Youth, Fitts draws from his own personal experiences to educate other parents on the complex set of problems facing Black youth.
