Everyone is born transparent - no skin, only see through. The government required it. However, a group, called The Skinners, found a way to color skin - black, white, tan, or other. Anyone joining the Skinners is shunned by the government and hunted by the police. Connor had a normal, middle school teenage life, until one night, he runs into a Skinner during an annual Festivus event. He was hoping to see Kara, his love interest, but instead gets recruited to the Skinners gang. Before long, he is on the run with Kara from the police. In the end, they have to find a way to survive.
