Marcus is a Roman Centurion, cursed to live forever, but without being able to enjoy any of the pleasures of life. He is constantly on the move, as he is pursued and tormented by a demon who slaughters anyone to whom he gets too close. He is protected by an Angel, so that he, personally, is safe. Marcus meets Laura in the 20th Century. She falls in love with Marcus and discovers his secret. Marcus realises he cannot run from the devil forever and so, he has to devise a plan to defeat the demon and remove the curse. However, there is one secret he dare not whisper. He was the man who had killed Christ.
